New Balance Numeric 440 Tom Knox Shoes

Designed by English pro skater Tom Knox, these white and red New Balance Numeric 440 Tom Knox Shoes have a super clean aesthetic inspired by classic ‘70s running shoes enhanced by additional skate-focused features. Durable mesh has been selected for the uppers with smooth layered leather overlays in key areas and teal coloured suede around the back of the heel. The toe vamp is emphasised by curved leather which wraps around the front of the toes and around to the side to offer a high level of durability and impact protection. Perforation has been added for ventilation and above flat cotton laces ensure a secure fit and loop around a leather border with a red and teal nylon panel underneath. The tongue has a mesh top player with a lightly padded underside for comfort and a woven New Balance Numeric 440 label wraps over the top edge. On either side of the foot ‘N’ emblems have been cut from red coloured leather for bold branding and around the back of the heel a curved insert is encased by a teal coloured heel panel, with emphasised perforation underneath.

A soft fabric lining runs throughout this style and the sockliner features a custom digitally printed image of grey concrete slabs and a collaborative New Balance x Tom Knox illustration. A cupsole outsole sits underfoot for durability and stability, in addition to a C-CAP heel wedge and the bright translucent teal rubber traction pattern adds further colour whilst providing quality grip for wear across a variety of terrains.

Arriving as the latest edition of the New Balance Numeric 440 Tom Knox Shoes, this version features a similar colour palette to the debut released back in 2018 but has been reversed in key areas for a fresh look. Having grown up in London, Tom Knox got into skateboarding thanks to watching his older brother and has been continually pushing his own skills and abilities ever since. Since being signed to New Balance for some time now, this latest colourway of the 440 brings a fresh burst of colour to the low-cut silhouette and boasts a lightweight, streamlined finish.
